Jenna recorded several different voice samples that you can now download and use on your computer! From now on, let Jenna tell you when you have new mail! We've split the sound bytes into several different categories so that you can easily download the ones you are interested in. The format of the downloadable sound files is WAV which should be usable on many different operating systems. I have tested it on GNU/Linux (KDE 2.1.2) and it works very nicely. The "Preview Samples," however, have been compressed using the MP3 format for your convenience to limit download size since the WAV files are rather "big." You might even be able to use these "samples" instead of the "download files" if your system supports MP3 files to be used as system notifications. The MP3 files are less than 10% the size of the WAV files. On many systems you would have to use a context menu item to download these files (by right-clicking and selecting something like "Save Link As...") because otherwise your computer will simply load and play back the file(s) you selected without saving them. |
